ISO reliable farm labor to help with daily farm tasks and to sell at market on a few Saturdays throughout the summer.

  • Compensation:

    $15/hr plus produce on harvest days

    Responsibilities:

    This position consists of many daily farm tasks, many of which are monotonous and physically challenging. Tasks include hauling wheelbarrows of compost and mulch, weeding, planting, harvesting, cleaning and packing for market, flipping beds, and other physical field work, along with occasional selling plants and vegetables at the farmers market. Working with honey bees is a possibility if interested. The Farm Contract Worker(s) will work closely with farmer Claire and other farmhands, as well as independently.

    Requirements:

    Must be excited about farming and growing a business, willing to work outdoors in all kinds of weather, dependable, and an excellent communicator (up front with schedule, responsive texter). The Farm Contract Worker(s) will be able to set their own schedule each week (some consistency preferred) and are encouraged to share ideas/bring their expertise to each task. Farm experience is desirable but not necessary. Availability from May 1- Sept 30 preferred.

  • 1/2 day (9-12am or 1-4pm) Tuesdays or Fridays June-Sept

    These positions are unpaid, and ideal for people who want fresh produce and farm experience in exchange for a few hours of labor. You will be helping harvest, wash, and prep produce for the farmers market and can expect to bring home a bag of produce each week.
